Poetry Night in Beijing

Poets from the Beijing community join award-winning performers Maxine Beneba Clarke and Zohab Zee Khan to present their works on life, love, and China. Hosted by Anthony Tao and Liz Richards, featuring:

Kassandra Lee, an educator, published poet, and creative entrepreneur, founder of the literary arts night Transmigrant Flow, which she hosts in Gulou; her first chapbook of poetry was published in August 2014 by dancing girl press in Chicago.

Edward Ragg, prize-winning poet and wine professional, winner of the 2012 Cinnamon Press Poetry Award for his first collection of poetry, A Force That Takes; currently an associate professor at Tsinghua University.

Elijah Grantham, writer (“arguably”), active in the queer art community in Columbus, Ohio; utterly unique.

Anna Yates, poet and short story writer, an active contributor to Scratching Beijing, a bimonthly performance platform for multi-disciplinary artists.

Vanessa Meng, winner of the International High School Slam last year, the finals of which were held at The Bookworm.
