Workshop: Short Story Writing

“Where do you get your ideas from?” It’s the question that most authors dread at literary events, but if you’re a writer looking for ways to strike gold more often, it’s the most valuable question you can ask. In this workshop, we’ll explore techniques for chasing inspiration down and making the muses speak on command. We’ll focus especially on creative collisions of unrelated things and giving your unconscious mind room to speak.

Adam Marek is one of the UK’s premier short story writers: his works – inclined toward the absurd, futuristic, and fantastical colliding with the mundane and everyday – have been featured in The Best British Short Stories 2011 and 2013, and have won him accolades and awards.

This workshop is at iQiyi.
